In the world of high jewellery, few houses possess the ability to balance technical watchmaking prowess with unbridled artistic expression quite like Piaget. With the unveiling of "Colours of Extraleganza," Piaget has delivered a triumphant conclusion to its ambitious three-part High Jewellery trilogy, which began with Essence of Extraleganza in 2024 and Shapes of Extraleganza in 2025.

This final chapter is not merely a collection of 65 exquisite creations; it is a sensory manifesto that positions color as a fundamental material in the Maison’s aesthetic vocabulary.Inspired by the creative and cultural effervescence of the 1960s and 1970s, the collection serves as a vivid homage to Piaget's history. The narrative traces back to 1957, when the invention of the ultra-thin calibre 9P movement fundamentally altered the Maison’s trajectory.

By minimizing mechanical volume, Piaget unlocked new possibilities for design, allowing for expansive, gem-set dials and fluid, articulated jewellery. As Artistic Director Stéphanie Sivrière notes, this collection treats gemstones not as simple accents, but as tactile, energetic components. The collection’s virtuosity is best exemplified by the Blue Illusions necklace, a masterpiece requiring nearly 900 hours of labor. It features a daring juxtaposition of an 8.52-carat Madagascan sapphire, a 3.30-carat Paraíba tourmaline, and a singular 13.98-carat black opal. This interplay of light and opacity reflects the collection’s core philosophy: a refusal to embrace minimalism, opting instead for a joyful, unapologetic abundance.

From the convertible Flamboyant Links sautoir—which revives the 1969 spirit of combining gold links with ornamental tiger’s eye—to the Gems Pop set that channels the postmodern irony of the 1980s Memphis art collective, Colours of Extraleganza is a masterful study in contrast. By treating gold as a color in its own right and fluting it with a technical precision usually reserved for watch bezels, Piaget has created a collection that is as much an emotional experience as it is a showcase of rare gems. In its grand finale, Piaget proves that when master craft meets fearless creativity, color becomes a language that resonates with timeless elegance.
