IJM Land Explores Smart, Sustainable Living with Samsung Malaysia across Selected Existing and Upcoming Developments

IJM Land, one of Malaysia’s leading property developers, is working with Samsung Malaysia Electronics (“Samsung”) to explore smart and sustainable living solutions across its move-in ready homes, and homes to be completed soon. This initiative reflects IJM Land’s continued commitment to sustainability-driven development by incorporating Samsung’s advanced smart home technologies to reimagine the future of modern living in Malaysia.

The initiative was unveiled today at an event held at IJM Land Centre of Excellence I.C.E. Gallery @ Pantai Sentral Park, officiated by senior leaders from both organisations, Datuk Tony Ling, CEO of IJM Land, and Mr. Charles Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.

Guided by its sustainability pillars – Marketplace, Environment, Workplace, and Community, IJM Land continues to develop townships & integrated developments that are future-ready, environmentally responsible, and built to enhance community well-being. Sustainability is embedded at the heart of IJM Land’s purpose as the company recognises that creating lasting value for stakeholders requires developments that minimise environmental impact, promote resource efficiency, and contribute positively to the environment and community.

IJM Land demonstrates this commitment through various initiatives across its developments. Beyond pursuing GreenRE certifications, IJM Land integrates energy-efficient designs, durable and low-maintenance materials, and eco-conscious planning to reduce environmental impact while enhancing resident well-being. This commitment also includes adopting AI-driven smart control systems to optimise energy use, enhance security, and streamline operational efficiency, as well as equipping new show galleries with solar panels and EV chargers to promote renewable energy adoption. This initiative with Samsung represents another key step in IJM Land’s efforts to give homeowners the opportunity to experience smart living solutions.

“Across all our projects, we are committed to reducing environmental impact through energy-efficient designs, durable and low-maintenance materials, and eco-conscious planning,” said Datuk Tony Ling, CEO of IJM Land. “Through this initiative with Samsung’s smart living technologies, we aim to create communities that are not only environmentally conscious and future-ready but also equipped with innovative solutions that make everyday life simpler, more connected, and more sustainable.”

As part of this effort with Samsung, IJM Land has launched its ‘Smart Move’ campaign to encourage homeowners to adopt smart, sustainable living through a suite of technologies and rewards. Key benefits for participating projects include rebates contributing to total campaign rewards of up to RM9 million, as well as giveaways of Samsung smart appliances worth up to a total of RM470,000. Homebuyers of the select projects will also enjoy exclusive discounts of up to 50% on Samsung products to further enhance their smart home ecosystem, free Memorandum of Transfer (MOT) and two years of complimentary maintenance fees.

The Smart Move campaign will run across several completed IJM Land projects and those scheduled for completion by 31 March 2026. This effort reflects IJM Land’s ongoing commitment to building modern, connected, and environmentally responsible communities, giving homeowners confidence that their new homes will enhance their lifestyles while supporting a sustainable future.

Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor has welcomed a new artist in residence ahead of the launch of a new exhibition of artworks, as the iconic 93-year-old luxury hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia continues to spotlight talented Khmer creatives. Teang Borin, popularly known as ‘DinArt’, is an audacious, self-taught artist whose work captures and exalts the essence of Cambodia’s rich religious and societal heritage. Historically, the colour of a king’s attire would change to correspond with the day of the week—a vibrant, visual reminder of the calendar and its spiritual significance,” said curator Nat Di Maggio of the local Tribe Art Gallery.
