Pink with Purpose at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpurf

This Pink October, Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur brings a little more meaning to the afternoon with its Pink October Afternoon Tea. Bringing together vibrant savouries and delicate artisanal sweets, the experience invites guests to gather, share and savour while supporting a cause that extends beyond the table.

Created in support of breast cancer awareness, the Pink October Afternoon Tea combines Torito’s vibrant culinary character with a selection of refined sweet creations. From the Peruvian Japanese savouries by Chef Sergio Porras, Chef de Cuisine at Torito, to the delicately crafted pink-hued desserts by Chef Tony Hoyle, Executive Pastry Chef of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, each element brings its own character to the experience. Together, they create an afternoon designed for meaningful moments shared with family, friends and loved ones.

Adding purpose to the experience, a portion of the proceeds from every Pink October Afternoon Tea will be contributed to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), helping to support its ongoing efforts within the community. Through each afternoon shared, guests would play a small part in extending care and support beyond the table.

Available throughout the month of October at Torito, Level 53, this afternoon tea is priced at MYR 110 nett per person and is served daily from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. In the spirit of Pink October, this offers an opportunity to pause over something beautiful, spend time around the table and make each gathering count for a little more.

Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor has welcomed a new artist in residence ahead of the launch of a new exhibition of artworks, as the iconic 93-year-old luxury hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia continues to spotlight talented Khmer creatives. Teang Borin, popularly known as ‘DinArt’, is an audacious, self-taught artist whose work captures and exalts the essence of Cambodia’s rich religious and societal heritage. His latest exhibition, inspired by the majesty of Khmer royalty and the distinguished colour palette of the Raffles Royal Doorman, features vivid, brilliant hues often set against a stark backdrop. “The central concept revives the historical tradition of Khmer royalty, specifically focussing on the Royal Guards’ pantaloons. Historically, the colour of a king’s attire would change to correspond with the day of the week—a vibrant, visual reminder of the calendar and its spiritual significance,” said curator Nat Di Maggio of the local Tribe Art Gallery. Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor wil...
