The Hari Hong Kong Joins IHG’s Vignette Collection

The Hari Hong Kong has today officially joined Vignette Collection, IHG Hotels & Resorts’ distinguished collection of independent luxury properties, marking a new chapter for the acclaimed 210-hotel in the heart of Wan Chai.

The move connects the hotel with IHG’s global distribution network and IHG One Rewards loyalty programme.

The transition follows last month’s announcement that The Hari Hong Kong, The Hari London and the forthcoming The Hari Singapore would join Vignette Collection, expanding a partnership between the Harilela Group and IHG that spans more than five decades.

"The Hari embodies relaxed elegance punctuated by eccentricity, wit, culture and intuitive, heartfelt hospitality,” said Dr. Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of Harilela Group. “Joining the Vignette Collection preserves The Hari’s one-of-a-kind character while connecting the brand to a global community of travellers who value individuality and authenticity.”.

The Hari Hong Kong stands 30-storeys tall on Lockhart Road in Wan Chai, one of Hong Kong’s oldest yet most eclectic districts. The hotel bears the stamp of acclaimed British interior designer Tara Bernerd, comprising 210 guest rooms, including three signature rooftop suites, with views overlooking Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, The Peak and Victoria Harbour.

Authentic Italian ristorante Lucciola, contemporary Japanese restaurant Zoku with a remarkable ceiling of angled timber slats in origami-like form, alfresco terrace bar aptly named The Terrace and The Lounge, an all-day sitting area adorned with a compelling collection of books and artworks, make for the hotel’s diverse dining landscape.

Spearheading the likes of The Hari Art Prize in support of emerging artists, The Hari Chronicles to foster ongoing conversations about art, design and culture, and “The Hari Neighbourhood Guide Audio Tour” that ventures off the beaten track, The Hari Hong Kong has a deep connection with art, culture, its community and sustainability.

Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor has welcomed a new artist in residence ahead of the launch of a new exhibition of artworks, as the iconic 93-year-old luxury hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia continues to spotlight talented Khmer creatives. Teang Borin, popularly known as ‘DinArt’, is an audacious, self-taught artist whose work captures and exalts the essence of Cambodia’s rich religious and societal heritage. His latest exhibition, inspired by the majesty of Khmer royalty and the distinguished colour palette of the Raffles Royal Doorman, features vivid, brilliant hues often set against a stark backdrop. “The central concept revives the historical tradition of Khmer royalty, specifically focussing on the Royal Guards’ pantaloons. Historically, the colour of a king’s attire would change to correspond with the day of the week—a vibrant, visual reminder of the calendar and its spiritual significance,” said curator Nat Di Maggio of the local Tribe Art Gallery.
