Azerai Ke Ga Bay Wins No. 2 Spot in ‘Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World’ Contest

Azerai Ke Ga Bay, an all-suites-and-villas beachfront resort in southern Vietnam, won the runner-up spot in the “Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World” contest sponsored by the U.S.-based travel trade magazine Luxury Travel Advisor.

The only Vietnamese hotel in this year’s competition, Azerai won five head-to-head rounds in which online voters decided which hotel offers better photography opportunities for social media. Azerai was crowned “The Most Instagrammable Hotel in the Eastern Hemisphere” and “The Most Instagrammable Hotel in Asia, the Indian Ocean and South Pacific.”

The final round was a playoff between Azerai Ke Ga Bay and Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets in Mexico. Impression secured the win and Azerai Ke Ga Bay took second place.

Azerai Ke Ga Bay, located a comfortable 2.5-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City on a new highway, is nestled amongst 5 hectares of verdant gardens, framed to the east by Hon Ba Island with its historic lighthouse and to the west by soaring sand dunes. This unique and picturesque setting offers an ideal backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation, as well as Instagram posts.

The image of Azerai Ke Ga Bay featured in the contest shows a sunken lounge beside the resort’s infinity pool overlooking a white sand beach at dusk.

“A clean minimalist aesthetic mixes with elegant white seating and natural wood accents, creating an Insta-worthy setting,” Luxury Travel Advisor’s editors wrote. “Whether at sunrise or sunset, this spot glows in soft, dreamy hues – perfect for your feed.”

Luxury Travel Advisor said it received hundreds of nominations from which its editorial team selected the contest’s field of 64 hotels from all over the world.

“We were looking for the photo that any guest would be able to take; the one that when posted online just racks up the likes, heart emojis, comments and DMs saying, ‘OMG I need to go there!’” the editors wrote.

Azerai Ke Ga Bay is part of legendary hotelier Adrian Zecha’s boutique portfolio of Azerai properties, which also includes Azerai La Residence, Hue in historic central Vietnam. Zecha is one of the world’s leading creators and operators of award-winning luxury hotels and resorts. He previously founded the storied luxury brand Aman Resorts in 1988.

Last month, Azerai Ke Ga Bay introduced new outdoor yoga sessions amidst the natural backdrop and gentle breezes of the sea. The complimentary daily (including weekends) sunrise yoga sessions, led by a passionate and experienced teacher, are held outside Azerai Ke Ga Bay’s renowned oceanfront spa in an elegant and sophisticated patio location.

The resort also recently launched – along with Azerai La Residence, Hue – new golf packages at two world-class courses: PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet Golf Course, designed by Greg Norman, and Golden Sands Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
