Bringing his Italian hospitality and exceptional track record in luxury venues around the world, Filippo’s impeccable hospitality and prowess in elevating the guest experience marry perfectly with the mixology finesse of Head Bartender, Kelvin Saquilayan.
Arriving in Singapore from his position as Director of Bars at Bangkok’s Rosewood Hotel, Filippo hails from Rimini, Italy, brings with him his home nation’s effortless flair for crafting elegant drinks and effusive hosting to each global bar he oversaw. Prior to his role in Bangkok, he spent two years as Bar Manager and Head Mixologist at Rosewood Guangzhou, overseeing and ensuring consistently high standards across its four bars from 2018 to 2020, Filippo helmed Melbourne’s award-winning intimate cocktail bar Above Board.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore and leading the energetic bar team at Republic,” said Filippo. “In my hometown of Rimini, my first steps in hospitality were working for my family business, a bar and restaurant that has been open for decades which shaped my whole approach to hospitality. My passion thrives in the craft of both mixology and hospitality. It is the fusion of expertise in these areas that drives me, and creating memorable moments for guests is what truly inspires me. Having every guest that comes through the doors feel special, giving them the most attentive service, and trying to turn moments into memories and guests into regulars is everything I strive for in my work, and an ethos that fits perfectly with the amazing team at Republic.”
