This festive season, Lulu Bistrot brings its lively French soul to the celebrations with three special menus that evoke the spirit of a Parisian holiday and showcase the restaurant’s warm, contemporary, no-fuss character. On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve, friends and families are invited to gather over beautifully executed, flavorful food in a festive atmosphere that never tips into formality. It’s a holiday experience shaped by tradition, enjoyed the Lulu way, with good company, exquisite dishes, and a sense of ease that keeps the occasion alive from the first glass to the final toast.
Lulu’s Christmas Eve Dinner takes its cues from the flavors that fill Parisian homes at this time of year, reimagined for the tropics. The menu includes Fish Crudo, raw bluefin tuna and salmon with an oyster emulsion and capers; Entrecôte, grilled ribeye served with classic Sauce Bordelaise; and Poulet Ballotine, roasted stuffed chicken paired with artichoke and Sauce Périgueux. Dessert stays close to tradition with an Apple Tart of caramelized fruit enlivened with house-made tonka bean ice cream, alongside a Chocolate Mousse with hazelnut chocolate, cherry compote, and raspberry. The experience begins at 5pm and is priced at IDR 980k++ per person.
With the easy charm of a long, unhurried French midday meal, Christmas Day lunch unfolds from 12pm at Lulu. Opening dishes include a Charcuterie Plate of cold cuts and condiments and Wagyu Beef Tartare with potato allumettes and black truffle. Guests may then choose between Market Fish served à la Meunière with soft herbs; Prawn Risotto of grilled wild prawns, Creole spices, and nduja butter (’nduja is a soft, spreadable Calabrian pork salumi known for its heat and deep, smoky flavor), or the elegant Poulet Ballotine. Desserts mirror Christmas Eve, offering both the Apple Tart and Chocolate Mousse. The menu is priced at IDR 980k++ per person.
Lulu Bistrot then welcomes the new year with a spirited Réveillon dinner, France’s favorite excuse to settle in for a long, late-night feast that drifts happily toward midnight. The evening features festive favorites from the Christmas menu, including Potato Terrine layered with jamon and Comté emulsion, and Oeuf Mayonnaise prepared with a soft-boiled egg, Dijon mayonnaise, and a touch of caviar. Main courses include Grilled Fish, featuring Canadian cod fillet paired with Champagne sauce and spinach. The finale arrives in the form of Lulu’s much-loved Tiramisu, combining hazelnut chocolate, mascarpone, and coffee liqueur. The Réveillon dinner begins at 6pm and is priced at IDR 1,200k++ per person.
Guests can make each of the three occasions even more indulgent with festive sharing plates that bring a little Parisian joie de vivre to the table. Warm Madeleines au Caviar with crème fraîche offer a playful hit of luxury; Half Dozen Oysters with mignonette channel a bustling brasserie; and Assiette de Fromage delivers an irresistible lineup of French cheeses. They are joined by celebratory favorites Pâté de Foie Gras with toasted bread, and Smoked Salmon with crème fraîche, chives, and brioche. Finally, for the toast that truly seals the night, guests can add a bottle of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial to any menu.
For founder Rafael Nardo, the festive season captures the heart of what Lulu does best. “French holiday meals are lively, generous, and full of connection. They bring people together without needing to be overly formal,” he said. “At Lulu, we celebrate that spirit by serving dishes that are thoughtful yet approachable, in an atmosphere where guests can relax, savor the moment, and simply enjoy being together.”
This year, Lulu Bistrot invites guests to celebrate Christmas and the new year with the flavors, warmth, and conviviality of a Parisian holiday, seasoned with the playful sophistication that makes Lulu Bali’s favorite French restaurant.
