ZEL Punta Cana Debuts in the Caribbean with a Grand Opening Celebration Alongside Tennis Legend Rafael Nadal

 ZEL Punta Cana, the latest hotel opening of the collaborative lifestyle brand by Meliá Hotels International and global sports icon Rafael Nadal, is now welcoming guests. Blending relaxation, sports, fitness, and social connection, the resort debuted in December 2024 and officially celebrated its grand opening celebration on March 7th, 2025. Located amongst nature and surrounded by spectacular beaches, the hotel offers a unique hospitality experience that combines the Mediterranean lifestyle with the island charm of the Caribbean.







Located 30 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, and just a short stroll from Bávaro Beach, ZEL Punta Cana features 190 nature-inspired suites, including Master Suites and Swim-Up Suites with private gardens leading directly to the pool. The ZEL brand is inspired by the welcoming homes, outdoor culture, and the spontaneous lifestyle of the Mediterranean.

The resort’s fine-dining offerings celebrate a variety of experiences. Guests can savour the wood-fired flavors at Volcán, where the aroma of sizzling meats and fresh herbs create an immersive dining experience. Nokyo offers a fusion of Japanese minimalism and Mediterranean charm. Parda is a Mediterranean-style all day dining and beach club with locally inspired cuisine showcasing the essence of the ZEL brand through local fresh ingredients. Tacorini blends Mexican folklore and Greek elegance with a unique combination of tacos and gyros. Wine enthusiasts can gather at Silvestre, a beautifully sunlit winery featuring a hand-selected collection of fine wines and spirits. Signature cocktails can be enjoyed at Voltage, a dynamic lobby bar embellished with gold touches and jewel tones.


ZEL Punta Cana balances active well-being and social connection through its renowned Zel Club, a vibrant hub where guests can embrace a healthy, active lifestyle. The club hosts expert-curated weekend retreats blending sports, relaxation, and community engagement, along with seasonal festivals and day parties celebrating the festive Mediterranean spirit.
